Thanks (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
This looks fantastic, may I ask what tools you used and what settings? I see you mention MadVR NGU but I imagine results like these must be more than a simple on/off toggle. I have a powerful PC and there's a lot of DVD-quality (at best) anime I'd love to give the same treatment. Thanks
@nalorcs RealSR ncnn Vulkan
You should work for hanime.tv as their encoder, it would be amazing to see your releases on even more series ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ

I have a powerful PC and there’s a lot of DVD-quality (at best) anime I’d love to give the same treatment. Thanks The one played with madVR NGU is for comparison. I use [Real-CUGAN](https://github.com/bilibili/ailab/tree/main/Real-CUGAN) with [vs-mlrt](https://github.com/AmusementClub/vs-mlrt) for this encoding. (Real-CUGAN is basically a re-trained cunet model of waifu2x, vs-mlrt is basically nvidia only unless you can bear that super slow cpu computing.) For AMD cards things are more complicated, but I can give you some advice if that the case.
Make it pls /view/3609247
@x_x Thanks for replying. Sorry I misunderstood the NGU thing, Nyaa was displaying oddly on my phone. I looked into it a bit and I've started experimenting with a GUI-based derivative of Real-CUGAN called Squirrel-RIFE (linked to on Real-CUGAN's github page). I'm puzzled about vs-mlrt though; based on what I'm seeing with Real-CUGAN I'm not sure what I'd need an additional tool for. I plan to experiment with it regardless but what are you using it for?
I'm sure you would get better results if you find the source DVD with the original 480p resolution and use some trained upscaling model for this kind of dvds, sadly I can' t do it as my pc doesn't allow me to do it.
